Located in Alleppey - the gateway to Kerala's backwaters - the stunning scenery and historical ambience make a stay at Motty's heritage home a unique, relaxing experience. Set apart from the homestay, Motty's luxury cottages lie on the edge of the palm-shrouded Marari beach - golden sands littered with traditional fishing boats. Perfect for honeymoons, families, groups, painters and writers, the cottages are made for two, but can easily cater for families/groups of four. To get the best of the Keralan lifestyle, why not sample a few nights in Motty's heritage home and a few nights on the beach?
Inside
- Style: A traditional heritage home adorned with Indian art and infused with traditional Keralan culture and décor.
- Bedrooms and Bathrooms: The three large, stylish bedrooms (one four-poster double and two double/twin) are very private, each with its own entrance and en suite. The one- and two-bedroom beach cottages have unique open-topped bathrooms where you can shower under the blue skies and palm trees.
- For relaxation: Kickback on the shady terrace of the homestay or on the veranda of your beach cottage where you can relax to the sound of the waves or watch the sunset.
- For recreation: Learn the art of Keralan cuisine and take home a book of local recipes compiled by Motty and his wife, Lali. Experience the Syrian Christian culture and local customs - including wearing a sari if you wish.

- In-house cuisine: The cuisine of Kerala is one of the highlights. Dig into traditional rice breads, spicy curries, fresh fish fry, pickles and baked bananas. A traditional Keralan breakfast is accompanied by fresh fruit, juice, tea and coffee.
